Digital Inclusion for Youth (DIY)

Shaping your own future

With over 35 million youth, Ethiopia’s future hinges on how young people are supported today.

However, the reality is that young people face numerous barriers to meaningful education, employment, and societal engagement. UNESCO projects that school drop-out and education gaps could cost the global economy $10 trillion annually by 2030. Ethiopia's secondary school completion rate is far below the 76% global average, and the unemployment rate amongst many youth communities is 41%.

In collaboration with Amref Health Africa and Safaricom Ethiopia, Digital Inclusion for Youth (DIY) enables young people in Ethiopia to do it themselves by accessing tech-powered learning opportunities to shape their own futures, develop new career paths and become the leaders of tomorrow.
